It's time to enroll at DC Prep! 

Congratulations to all lottery matched families!
We are excited for you to join the DC Prep family! As a new member of the DC Prep community, it's time to complete the enrollment process to secure your child's spot! Please continue reading to learn how to secure your seat for the 19-20 school year.

If you are a currently enrolled family wishing to re-enroll (woohoo!), you can re-enroll your child here too.



Securing your seat at DC Prep for the 2019-2020 school year:

Families must complete the following steps below by their enrollment deadline.

  1. Complete the Online Student Enrollment Form
    - Instructions sent to you via email*
    - A separate form must be submitted for each enrolling child.

    Note: If you don’t have Internet access please visit your enrolling DC Prep campus to use one of our laptops - we’re happy to help! Call us at 202-635-4590 to learn more. 


    *The email used was the email you provided on your My School DC application. If you did not provide an email address please contact the enrollment team at 202.635.4590 x200 or via email, enrollment@dcprep.org. 

  2. Proof of DC Residency (must be submitted in-person, directly to the campus where you are enrolling your child). You will be asked to sign the DC Residency Verification Form. 

    *Note: New to DC
     Prep students must submit a Birth Certificate or its equivalent as proof of age and guardianship as well. 

  3. CELEBRATE! You've secured your child's (children's) seat(s) at DC Prep! 
    Additional forms required by Friday, August 16th, 2019 are listed below! 

School is still in session! 
We are as eager as you are to enroll and re-enroll your child to DC Prep; however, our schools are still open, and class is in session. 

We encourage all families to visit our campuses between 9AM and 3PM or after 4:30PM Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. On Wednesdays, families are encouraged to come between 9AM and 1PM or after 2:30PM. This will allow us to serve you as expeditiously and promptly as possible.  


Additional forms due by Friday, August 16th, 2019 

DC Universal Health and Dental Forms (For the remainder of SY 2018-19 and School Year 2019-20 both the newly updated health forms and old health forms will be accepted. Beginning SY 2020-21 only new forms, signed after July 31, 2020, will be accepted.)
• School Meals Program Application (available after July 1st, 2019 - Edgewood families only)
• Entire Special Education File (if applicable)
• Final (4th Quarter) Report Card from Current School (once available, if applicable)
• PK3/PK4 Transition Packet (if applicable/available - more information coming at the Prep for Success session in May!)

Are you a waitlisted family for the 2018-2019 school year?

DC Prep frequently pulls from its waitlisted student roster! If you have questions about your waitlist status or need to update your contact information, contact the My School DC team at 202.888.6336 or via email at info.myschooldc@dc.gov for assistance. DC Prep will pull students from waitlists on the following Monday dates; families will have until the following Friday deadlines indicated below to complete enrollment and secure their child’s seat at DC Prep for the 2019-2020 school year. These admissions will be made on a rolling basis, dependent on capacity and need at the specific campus, and grade. 



From mid-August until October 5th all admissions made will have at least one (1) business day to complete enrollment. 

*Please note: DC Prep campuses and the Home Office will be closed April 15th – 19th for Spring Break; July 1st – 5th , in observance of the Independence Day holiday, and on Monday, September 2nd, in observance of the Labor Day holiday.
