The DC Prep Way combines rigorous academics, strong character development, and meaningful relationships to help students thrive in school and beyond. Our classrooms are joyful, nurturing, and structured. This creates an environment where students feel safe to take risks, ask questions, and grow with confidence.
Our Approach
We set high expectations for every Preppie (a DC Prep student), while providing the personalized support they need to succeed.
Our teachers use data to guide instruction, build strong relationships with students, and partner closely with families because we know children achieve more when schools and families work together.
Our curriculum is aligned with the Common Core State Standards, giving students a strong academic foundation at every grade level. We use a high-quality English Language Arts (ELA) curriculum that has been recognized by OSSE and EdReports, helping every Preppie build strong reading and writing skills.

Learning begins as early as Pre-K3 and continues through 8th grade, allowing students to grow within one supportive community. From building foundational reading and math skills in Early Childhood to developing independence and leadership in Middle School, every stage of the DC Prep experience prepares students for success in high school, college, career, and life.
