The Student Journey
Why DC Prep?
DC Prep is a free public charter school for students in preschool through 8th grade. Here, every student feels seen, supported, and inspired to excel — in a joyful, safe, and nurturing environment where children thrive academically and personally.
Our Impact
Our results speak for themselves: 100% of DC Prep alumni attend college-preparatory high schools and graduate from college at 6x the rate of their peers.
For over two decades, we've delivered the strongest academic outcomes in DC — built on individualized care for every child, close partnerships with families, and deep roots in the communities we serve.
