Anacostia Middle Campus

Dear AMC Families,

It is an absolute honor to lead this school into its next chapter. DC Prep and AMC is close to my heart as it’s where I’ve put down roots in the last 12 years. I have felt the honor and joy of seeing our founding class graduation and watching as all of our kids have developed academically and socially throughout the year. As a child, I really loved school because it was a safe space where I knew I could excel and find joy. It also was a place at times where I didn’t feel encouraged. I aim to take my experiences and connect that to what I want for our kids. I want them to feel safe where they can take risks, joy where they’re happy to come to school daily, and encouraged because they know someone is lifting them up to be their best.

I’m excited to welcome you all into our campus for this 2026-2027 school year. We are committed to helping our students see academic progress and success this year through intentional interventions and supports. I am committed to building strong family partnerships as I know that this is one of the main drivers to our students finding success. I am excited to keep “Composing the School We Want” through intentional daily habits and each person playing their role to see our kids succeed.

Let’s have a great year!

With gratitude,

Ciara Ray
