My name is Kia Coleman, the Principal for Benning Middle. I am a native Washingtonian (uptown), entering my 18th year of education, last year I transitioned from being the Community Assistant Principal at Anacostia Elementary. I am a proud product of DCPS and PGCPS school systems. I am looking forward to connecting with each of you this fall for a great school year. I believe we are serving the BEST SCHOOL in Washington, DC! My team and I cannot wait to have you join our family this year.
This year as a BMC community we are focused on 3 things:
Strengthen family partnership through adult culture
Grow our students academically through our program with fidelity
Improve our student culture through fostering a sense of belonging environment
