Degarrius Cullum joined DC Prep in 2013 and is the Benning Elementary Campus (BEC) Principal. He has been instrumental in fostering an environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Prior to this role, he served in several roles at BEC as a PK3, kindergarten, and 2nd grade teacher; Dean of Students; Academic Assistant Principal; and Community Assistant Principal. Degarrius attended Benedict College (Go Tigers!), in Columbia, SC for his bachelor’s degree, and Strayer University in Atlanta, GA for his graduate degree.
