DC Prep is an open-enrollment, tuition-free public charter school serving over 2,100 students across six schools in Wards 5, 7, and 8. Our mission is to bridge the educational divide in the nation’s capital, pursuing that goal despite any obstacles in our path.

The Need

DC Prep works to provide a high-quality academic and social-emotional education to our students, as well as strong professional and leadership development for our staff. In addition to supporting our six schools, we also work to support over 600 alumni as they leave our walls and go onto high school and college through our PrepNext program. All of this comes at a cost.

Your support helps us to provide the necessary staff to ensure a well-rounded education for our Preppies, professional development throughout the year, as well as a team of counselors to support our 600+ alumni as they continue their education.

How You Can Help

  • Demonstrate your commitment to excellent public education in our nation’s capital by donating to our Annual Fund
  • Support our community of over 600 alumni in their pursuit of academic and professional achievement by supporting the PrepNext Fund
  • Attend an upcoming event
    • DC Prep hosts a number of events throughout the year, including 8th Grade Mock Interview Day (for our 8th-graders applying to selective high schools), PrepNext Internship Program Mock Interview Day (for our high school and college students pursuing internships and other professional opportunities), school tours, and our annual Bash. To learn more about our Bash, which is our only annual fundraising event, please click here. To be notified of upcoming events, please email development@dcprep.org.
